Since the release of smash hit Sweet But Psycho, Ava Max has struggled to achieve a hit single on the Hot 100. Who's Laughing Now could be the song to bring the young artist back. A true pop song, Who's Laughing Now has a very an upbeat energy that is widely absent from the modern music industry and is about rising above those who previously held you down and treated you badly. While the beat is relatively standard, the melody stands out to me. As I've mentioned in previous reviews, music today often lacks a powerful melody and stays on a single note for the majority of a song. This song doesn't lack in such a way. Max is a very talented singer and never fails to show her audience exactly that. Overall, I love this song. I think it's a perfect song to be released just before her debut album Heaven & Hell, an album I'm very excited to hear. As always, Ms. Ava Max delivered an outstanding song for her fans and the world to enjoy.
